It all began in 1967 in a rough neighborhood in the Lincoln Park area in
The Santa Fe Arts District though Joe's Buffet was not your traditional buffet style one would think a buffet style restaurant would be.
In fact, it was the complete opposite the owners where thinking; "Jimmy Buffett and Margaretville" and due to linguistic problems it came out "Buffet"
All the Hispanic and Latino customers called it "Joe's Buffett" though it spells out "Joe's Buffet"
